I stumbled upon this guy's photo set on Flickr a few minutes ago.
Gaaaaaaawd, I miss Havasu. I've heard it's a lot more tame nowadays though...I heard they closed off the sandbars and Copper Canyon so you're stuck parking in the main channel by London Bridge. So much fun.

Why you gotta show me that Jimmy? For the love...!
HAHA! Sorry brother. I had to see it so now everyone out in Blog-land has to see it. Torture, I know.
yes, you're definitely a guy!!!
that aside.... so you're big on the lake life? waterskiing? jetskiing? i went water skiing out in Colorado one time. (my family lives out there.) it was a lot of fun! i go tubing at the lake out here now, but i like salt water a lot more.
have you heard that "redneck yacht club" song? that's what our lake is like. hehe.
later :-)
Yes I am. ;o)
I love it! It's my release...it keeps me sane. One of the bad things about Colorado is that we sell (read: give) all our water to Nebraska and Arizona which makes this state pretty dry. Still though, I can't bring myself to leave.
I love that song...

...It cracks me up. We do that here to but to a lesser degree. Glendo is "where it's at" though. A couple of weeks ago we had two Malibus, a Master Craft and a Party Barge. That's my own little slice of heaven.
most of my family is out on the western side of the state, near
Grand Mesa. there are tons of lakes out there... but you're right, it's all so dry.
when i come visit, my skin gets so dried out, because i'm used to the humidity of the south. i feel like a shriveling peach! hehe.
my ex has a little Yamaha boat, and his friends have the jetskiis, so i know how those days at the lake can be. :-)
Interesting. I have family out there too…in the Grand Junction\Fruita area. Hmmm...a ton? I don't know about that but they do have a lot more water than we do on the eastern side. The lakes on the western slope are normally really cold lakes. Blue Mesa is an awesome lake but it's almost always cold enough for a drysuit.
You're right! It's VERY dry out here. I always get nose bleeds after I've been out on the lake unless I sit near a swamp cooler for awhile. I miss that humidity you guys get in the South.
